Morpheus8 radiofrequency fractional treatments stimulate these important building blocks by combining two powerful anti-aging methods into one unique treatment — microneedling and fractional RF energy. Fractional radiofrequency (RF) energy is a scientifically proven method to reduce wrinkles, rebuild collagen (tighten skin), and remodel fat. The device uses a collection of pins that that carry RF energy deep into the layers of your skin – producing fresh, new collagen at even deeper levels of skin tissue, for a greater anti-aging effect that lasts. Am I a Good Candidate for Morpheus8?

If you are looking to improve moderate signs of aging such as jowls, sagging of the cheeks and neck, Morpheus8 may be an ideal solution. Morpheus8 also manages acne scarring, stretch marks, sun damage, enlarged pores and poor skin texture. Morpheus8 is also used on other parts of the body, to treat loose skin, stretch marks, and wrinkles. The benefit of Morpheus8’s technology is that it can be used on all skin types. The unique properties allow even darker tones to be treated with little risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which is common with other resurfacing methods.

What to expect during the procedure

Before your treatment, a topical numbing cream will be applied to your skin for approximately one hour. During your treatment, Dr. Gupta will use the state-of-the-art Morpheus8 platform to administer 24 silicone-coated needles beneath the skin and into the superficial fat. The device delivers a pulse of radiofrequency energy that tightens the soft tissue, coagulates the fat, and stimulates the production of elastin and collagen. Many patients describe the treatment as a pinching sensation with heat to follow, but quite tolerable. The treatment typically takes 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the number and sizes of areas being treated.

How Quickly Will I See Results?

Visible results can start to be seen within a few weeks, but typically the most noticeable results appear after three months as new collagen and elastin forms. For optimal results we recommend three treatments spaced four weeks apart. The results of Morpheus8 are long-lasting but skin continues to age consistent with lifestyle and genetics. Skin needs to be encouraged to continue to create new collagen and elastin in order to maintain a youthful appearance. Therefore, subsequent treatments may be recommended every 6-12 months as part of a rejuvenation maintenance plan.

What Kind of Post Procedure Care Is Required?

Patients should moisturize the treatment area and avoid direct sun exposure. It is also recommended that patients use a good, broad spectrum sunscreen every day. Since patient downtime is minimal, makeup can be applied 1 to 2 days after the treatment. Patients should expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment and slight redness for up to 1 week depending on treatment parameters.

Can Morpheus8 be paired with other treatments?

For best results, Morpheus8 treatments are typically paired with Botox injectables and Dermal fillers. In fact, a Morpheus8 treatment is specifically designed to enhance the results of these procedures. Morpheus8 can also be combined with PRP for optimal results.
